Job Opportunity: Vocal Teacher

Shaumet Music Academy is a newly established music school in Chatswood, dedicated to providing exceptional music education to the local community. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a qualified and passionate Vocal Teacher to join our team. Candidates with experience teaching the AMEB syllabus will be given priority. We value teachers who can provide both one-to-one and group lessons.

Requirements and Responsibilities:
Teach students of all ages and skill levels in both one-to-one and group settings.
Develop personalized lesson plans tailored to each student’s needs and goals.
Motivate and inspire students to reach their full potential.
Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents.
Encourage students to participate in performances and group activities to build confidence and teamwork skills.
Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and the ability to work independently.
Create a positive and engaging learning workplace.

Specific Responsibilities:
Teach vocal techniques, music theory, and performance repertoire.
Introduce students to various vocal styles (e.g., classical, contemporary, jazz, pop, musical theatre, etc.).




Incorporate the AMEB syllabus into lessons (preferred).
Prepare students for exams, performances, and other music-related activities.

Requirements:

Experience:
Proven experience teaching the AMEB syllabus (preferred).
Robust communication and interpersonal skills.
Passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated to music education.

Skills and Attributes:
Ability to engage and inspire students positively.
A genuine love for music and a commitment to nurturing students’ enjoyment of music.
Comprehensive knowledge of drumming techniques and styles, with the ability to impart this knowledge effectively.

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher (preferred).

Licence/Certification:
Working with Children Check (required).

Working Rights:
Must have the right to work in Australia.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $40.00 – $80.00 per hour
