JP Recruitment is seeking a Trades Assistant for a permanent position based in Hazelmere with a tier 1 employer and a global leader in its field.

The role will be responsible to support the team of welders with manual handling tasks and preparing materials for fabrication. Your tasks will include:
Loading and moving a supply trolley with various materials for the team
Operating a bandsaw or cold saw to cut square and right angle steel
Operate a Forklift to move materials inside workshop, load or unload trucks occasionally
Sorting materials and housekeeping





The successful candidate will be given training and will be offered opportunities to learn recent things and develop a career in a state of the art facility.

The attributes we are seeking are:
Fit and able to do manual handling tasks, heavy lifting
Some factory or workshop experience
Hand or power tool experience ie drill, grinder, saws etc
A high risk Forklift license
Able to work as part of a team
Able to pass drug & alcohol screening and pre-employment medical.
Drivers license and own transport

The working hours are 38 per week, from 6:00am to 2:30pm Monday to Thursday, with an early knock off on Fridays at 12pm.

On offer is a base hourly rate of $33.85/hr to $35 an hour depending on experience.
