A well-established public practice firm in Canberra is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their Tax & Business Advisory team. This firm offers progression, learning and development and a excellent internal team.

What you'll be doing
Managing a portfolio of clients across a mix of industries — from owner-operators to larger private groups
Preparing and reviewing financial statements, tax returns and BAS/IAS for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
Providing proactive tax planning and business advisory support, not just compliance after the fact
Mentoring junior and intermediate accountants, reviewing their work and building their technical skills
Building direct relationships with clients and partners — you'll be a genuine point of contact, not just a name on a file

What you'll bring
CA or CPA qualified (or close to completion)
4+ years' experience in Australian public practice, ideally with solid exposure to tax and business advisory work




Robust technical knowledge across income tax, CGT, Division 7A and trust structures
The confidence to run client conversations yourself, and the judgement to know when to bring in a partner
A genuine interest in the commercial side of the client's business, not just the numbers
