An exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join a high-performing and fast-paced organisation based in Central Sydney. Leading a sizeable Accounts Payable team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of a high-volume transactional function while driving performance, process improvement and stakeholder engagement across the business.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic setting, enjoys solving complex issues and is passionate about developing and mentoring high-performing teams. Reporting to a Senior Finance Leader, you will be responsible for:
Lead, mentor and develop a team of Accounts Payable Officers, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture
Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable function within a high-volume transactional workplace
Manage workflow allocation, team performance and service delivery standards
Handle and resolve complex supplier queries, payment issues and disputes
Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Partner with operational and finance teams to ensure efficient invoice processing and payment practices




Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive operational efficiencies
Monitor AP controls, compliance and reporting requirements
Coach team members, provide ongoing feedback and support professional development initiatives

What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience managing an Accounts Payable team within a high-volume environment
Strong leadership capabilities with a demonstrated ability to build engaged and high-performing teams
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced environment with competing priorities
