We are seeking a casual Cook/ Chef to fill 2+ days a week. Must be available for 5:30am starts. Day shifts only One weekend shift needed.

You run the toastie section and you push through the prep list. This isn't an entry-level role - you've worked a similar section before. You fulfil what the kitchen needs, not only whats in your purview, putting stock away, setting up and maintain dish area before kitchen hand starts and stepping up to helo the chef on breakfast when needed.

Responsibilities
Run the toastie section through service
Work the prep list quickly and to a high standard
Build sandwiches to spec
Other duties include basic baking, eggs, proteins and sauces
Finish prep, restock, and update the ordering list when stock runs low
Wash dishes and remove rubbish where needed, particularly before the kitchen hand starts
Support the chef on the pass when orders demand
Keep clean and tidy — small kitchen, nowhere for mess to go
Label, date and rotate to HACCP standard
Participation in stock control to minimise waste,



and maintain tidy stock room, fridges and participate in stocktake

Kind and courteous, to the team and to customers
Pivots and re-prioritises when the kitchen demands it
Team-oriented - not a role for a lone operator
Helps out wherever needed, including outside your section
