The Manager, Property Management and Programs is accountable for the programming and delivery of maintenance, capital upgrade, and renewal / refurbishment programs. The Manager ensures linkages with other Housing projects are known and inform the Asset Management strategy. The role is accountable for the effective management of providers to deliver programs against targets in terms of budget, time, and quality.
What you will be doing
Managing Property Management budgets and ensuring program outcomes are achieved within the constraints of the available budget.
Effectively managing a team of property experts to provide timely and accurate advice and support to all areas within Housing and Public Works to ensure best outcomes for the portfolio and clients.
Leading the development and delivery of portfolio strategies, programs and projects for the effective management of a major property portfolio that maximises asset practical life, including budget development and performance against targets and
Managing property condition data quality, tools and procedures to identify underperforming assets and initiating appropriate remedial strategies and actions having regard to the Department's desired outcomes,
including value-for-money and other developed performance measures.
Providing well researched analysis and expert advice to contribute to a variety of Strategic Plans including Asset/Maintenance Plans that align with the direction of the
Managing the development, negotiation and maintenance of effective partnering arrangements with internal and external stakeholders, service delivery providers and
Providing timely and well researched advice and recommendations to support senior management in portfolio operations and property management matters.
Researching, developing, and maintaining performance management framework and systems to benchmark program delivery by service providers in line with industry practices and value for money principles.
Managing the staff and functions of the team, in accordance with available resources and business priorities.
Supporting and helping maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day-to-day operations.
