Operations Manager / Production Manager - Manufacturing

An established manufacturer is entering its next phase of growth and is seeking a capable Operations & Production Leader to take ownership of day-to-day manufacturing performance. This role will strengthen operational capability, improve efficiency, and support continued expansion.

Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will play a key role in coordinating people, processes, and production outcomes across manufacturing, warehousing, and other key functions. This position suits a practical leader who enjoys being on the floor, driving results and continuously improving how things are done.

This is a permanent, full-time position offering consistent weekday hours (early finish afternoons) and a balanced approach to overtime.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate manufacturing and warehouse operations
Allocate resources effectively to meet production deadlines and quality standards
Monitor output, efficiency, and workflow performance
Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth operations
Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to systems, processes, and materials




Champion safety standards and ensure compliance across all operations
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For
Proven experience leading operations or production teams in a manufacturing environment
Robust organisational and planning capability
Confidence using production, inventory, and reporting systems
Exposure to lean or continuous improvement methodologies
Mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
A proactive, hands‑on leadership style
Forklift licence advantageous but not essential
