On the tools at 6am, home by mid-afternoon, and done by midday Friday. Every Friday.

About the role

You'll be cutting, fitting and welding chassis, suspension conversions and custom modifications on predominantly recent-model trucks — taking your own measurements, and problem-solving as the job goes. Hands-on and varied, working alongside tradesmen with decades of experience.

What you'll need
Trade qualification in welding/fabrication, or a mechanical/diesel fitting trade
2–3+ years in heavy vehicle, structural or plant fabrication
Strong MIG welding




Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Accurate measuring, marking out and cutting
Reliable, punctual, and able to run a job without being chased
Genuine commitment to safe work practices

Nice to have
Truck body building or heavy vehicle modification experience
Forklift or overhead crane ticket

What we offer
$50 – $60 per hour, based on experience
6:00am start, 2:30pm finish Monday to Thursday — your afternoons are your own
Fridays finish at 12pm — a genuine head start on the weekend, every week
Consistent full time hours, day shift, no night work
Overtime available as needed
