Our client is a growing professional services and advisory firm based in the Sydney CBD, partnering with small to medium-sized businesses across a range of industries.

The business has built a strong reputation for providing high-quality tax, business advisory, and strategic support to entrepreneurial clients and owner-led businesses. With continued growth across the firm, they are now looking to appoint a technically strong Tax Accountant to join the team.

About the role

This role will suit a CA qualified accountant coming from a Big 4 or mid-tier background who is looking to move into a more commercially focused and client-facing environment. Working closely with senior leadership, you will gain exposure across tax compliance, advisory, and business services while supporting a portfolio of SME and private clients.

Duties
Preparation and review of financial statements and tax returns
Tax compliance across companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals
Supporting tax advisory and structuring work




Managing client relationships and responding to queries
Assisting clients with business performance and commercial matters
Liaising with external stakeholders and the ATO
Supporting junior staff where required

Skills & experience
CA qualified
Experience within a Big 4 or reputable mid-tier accounting firm
Strong Australian tax and compliance knowledge
Experience working with SME or private clients
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
High attention to detail and commercial mindset
Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
