Alpenrose Bar & Bistro at Tamar Valley Resort

Located in Grindelwald, Tasmania, the Alpenrose Bar & Bistro at Tamar Valley Resort is a quick paced restaurant and function centre. Nestled in the hills overlooking the Tamar river and only a short 15min drive from Launceston, this is an idyllic location for both work and play.

We are looking for a motivated, qualified chef to join our friendly kitchen team at the resort. Our kitchen caters for a 135 seat restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week, as well as 8 function and event spaces.

Applicants for the position must:
Have prior demonstrated experience of working in a busy kitchen and a certificate 3 or higher in commercial cookery
Have knowledge of stock level control and experience with ordering all kitchen supplies
Experience in meeting budget requirements for food and rostering
Be enthusiastic and passionate about their job
Be confident working in a busy kitchen in independent and team situations
Be able to work versatile schedule, including weekends and public holidays
Have their own transport.
