Description

Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Design Manager to join the business and play a key role in the successful delivery of major commercial projects. This position will see you involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, from pre-construction and design development through to on-site delivery and project completion.

Inital projects will be across retirement and community projects up to $90M

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the design process from concept through to construction completion.
Coordinate consultants, subcontractors, clients, and internal stakeholders.
Drive design program outcomes, ensuring milestones are achieved.
Identify and mitigate design risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide technical leadership and support to project delivery teams.
Manage design compliance, buildability reviews, and value engineering initiatives.




Work closely with site and project teams to ensure seamless transition from design to construction.

Profile
Proven experience as a Design Manager or Senior Design Manager within a commercial head contractor workplace.
Extensive experience delivering large-scale commercial construction projects.
Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, from design management through to on-site delivery.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate consultants and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
Excellent technical, communication, and leadership skills.
Experience across healthcare, education, aged care, retirement living, industrial, or similar commercial sectors will be highly regarded.
