We are seeking aRetail Sales Assistantto join our MMA Fight Store in Macgregor, QLD.
This is acasualposition working between Monday and Friday to support our dynamic retail team.
As a Retail Sales Assistant, you will be the face of our brand, delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales in a fast-paced retail workplace.
This role is crucial in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and ensuring they find the right products to meet their mixed martial arts and fitness needs.
Key responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance with product selection across our range of MMA equipment, apparel and accessories
Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and handle cash and card payments with integrity
Maintain store displays, shelving and merchandise presentation to ensure an attractive and organised shopping environment
Stock shelves and rotate inventory, ensuring products are readily available and properly priced
Answer customer enquiries about product features, pricing, availability and promotions
Provide recommendations based on customer requirements and fitness experience
Pick and pack online orders
Assist with promotional activities and window displays to attract customers
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the store
Support colleagues and contribute to a positive team atmosphere
Report any product issues, damages or discrepancies to management
What we're looking for




Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for helping customers
Enthusiasm for mixed martial arts, fitness or combat sports is highly desirable
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Flexibility and willingness to work various shifts, including weekends
Basic numeracy skills and comfort with electronic point-of-sale systems
Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work
Physical capability to lift, carry and move stock and merchandise
A positive attitude and commitment to delivering excellent customer service
