So many lives. So many ways. One you.
50,000 lives and counting.
That's how many South Australians our people support each year.
As one of the state's leading not-for-profits, we're making a meaningful impact at scale. From foster care to aged care and everything in between, our services are as diverse as the people and communities we serve - and we're growing our reach for the future.
It takes a special kind of person to work in this sector. Someone with real compassion and care. Could that person be you?
Join us as an Occupational Therapist in Community Aged Care and support older people to live independently and well at home.
What you'll do
As an Occupational Therapist within our Community Aged Care team, you'll support older people to maintain independence, safety and confidence while continuing to live at home. Working across community settings, you'll deliver personalised,
evidence-based assessments and interventions that promote reablement and meaningful participation in everyday life.
You'll work closely with customers, families and multidisciplinary team members to achieve practical outcomes that support wellbeing and choice, while enjoying the flexibility and autonomy that comes with a community-based role in a values-led not-for-profit organisation.
You'll be trusted to make a valuable impact by:
Delivering evidence-based Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions that support independence in daily living at home
Supporting customers to achieve meaningful, reablement-focused goals aligned to their individual needs and preferences
Recommending equipment, home modifications and strategies that enhance safety and participation
Collaborating with families, carers and multidisciplinary team members to strengthen outcomes and continuity of care
What you'll bring
To Thrive In This Role, You Will Have
Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration
Strong understanding of ageing, reablement principles and person-centred practice
Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders
Current driver's licence and willingness to travel across the community
We Would Also Love You To Have
Experience working in community aged care or home-based service delivery
Experience recommending assistive technology,
equipment or minor home modifications
Interest in contributing to service improvement and innovation within Community Aged Care Allied Health services
