Job Description
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Strategy, Corporate Finance or Economics professional to influence the future direction of one of Australia's largest agribusiness and renewable energy organisations.
Reporting to the GM Commercial, you'll lead strategic planning, commercial analysis, financial modelling and investment evaluation activities that support executive and Board-level decision making. Working across multiple business functions, you'll provide economic insight and commercial recommendations that shape major capital investments, business growth opportunities and long-term strategy.
You'll partner closely with senior leaders across Commercial, Finance, Engineering and Operations to deliver commercially sound, evidence-based decisions that drive profitability, sustainability and long-term success. If you enjoy solving complex business problems, influencing executive decisions and turning data into strategy, you'll feel right at home with our Commercial team.

Role Responsibilities
Lead the annual corporate strategic planning process across Wilmar Sugar & Renewables.
Deliver complex financial modelling, business case development, investment analysis and capital project evaluations.
Provide commercial, economic and market analysis to support Executive Leadership and Board decision making.
Assess mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and new business opportunities.
Monitor commodity markets, renewable energy trends, exchange rates and macroeconomic drivers impacting business performance.




Prepare executive reports, Board papers and strategic recommendations.
Coach and mentor Strategy & Business Analysts while promoting continuous improvement across commercial analysis.

You thrive working with senior stakeholders and have the confidence to challenge thinking through robust economic analysis.
Essential Skills & Experience
Tertiary qualification in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or Engineering
Significant experience in Corporate Strategy, Commercial Finance, Investment Analysis, Corporate Development or Business Strategy
Advanced financial modelling, valuation and business case development skills
Experience preparing Executive and Board-level reports and presentations
Solid stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership
Desireable
MBA or postgraduate qualification in Corporate Finance or Economics
Experience within manufacturing, agribusiness, resources, infrastructure or energy
Exposure to mergers & acquisitions, capital investment or commercial transactions
Knowledge of commodity markets, renewable energy or agricultural industries
Experience mentoring analysts or leading commercial capability development
