THE ROLE
The Senior Land and Property Adviser focus is advancing social and affordable housing opportunities on private, surplus or underutilised government land. You will identify and assess potential development sites through detailed analysis and your understanding of land, development and planning considerations.



You will develop appropriate scope for consultants and report to the executive team in respect of your projects detailed program to ensure its successful delivery. You will review and provide feedback to due diligence and feasibility assessments, identify land assembly requirements, manage project risk and liaise with land owners to facilitate access to land for due diligence, provide program updates and to administer land transactions. You will ensure appropriate consultancy advice is obtained, to the extent required to comply with the Victorian Government Land Transaction Policy, facilitate handover of projects to the Delivery team and support the development of business cases.
Expertise and skills in property analysis, including understanding of redevelopment and commercial feasibility drivers, including title and planning matters is required. A proven track record of effective stakeholder engagement, particularly with state government landholding agencies, is key. Project management skills are essential, along with attention to detail and the ability to create and maintain accurate records.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
Provide strategic analysis and advice to develop the property portfolio pipeline in the short, medium and long term, including funding and approval requirements
Complete assessments of identified sites to identify key property details, potential land assembly requirements or third-party risks.
Database management of land and property details, including risk, stakeholder and due diligence register.
