As our business continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to ensure accurate, timely payroll processing and support finance operations.
Reporting to our Finance Manager, you will become part of a collaborative, solutions-focused team that is very passionate about accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
The Role
This is a hands-on payroll and finance support role responsible for processing payroll data, managing pay rate calculations, reconciling accounts, and supporting invoicing and reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
Process weekly payroll accurately and on time
Calculate and validate daily and weekly timesheets
Maintain and cleanse payroll data using advanced Excel (Power Query)
Perform Xero reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Issue client invoices via Xero
Support payroll reporting and analysis (Power BI exposure advantageous)




Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Liaise with internal teams to resolve payroll or timesheet queries
About You
Previous experience in payroll, accounts, or finance administration
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (Power Query essential)
Understanding of overtime calculations (daily and weekly OT)
Experience with Xero and bank reconciliation
Experience invoicing through Xero
Exposure to Power BI (desirable but not essential)
High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy
Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
