The Opportunity
As a result of several new, exciting projects underway, we are looking to grow our team, and are seeking an experiencedSenior Developer, Applicationsto join us in our Newcastle Office.
This is a hands-on development role focused on designing and building high-quality software solutions while strengthening the technical capability of the team.
You will remain actively involved in software development while contributing to solution architecture, technical decisions, engineering standards, mentoring and code reviews.

What You'll Be Doing
Design, develop and support business-critical applications using .
NET and C#
Design and document application and integration solutions from high-level architecture through to detailed implementation
Design and build secure, scalableREST APIs, considering contract design, consistency, versioning and maintainability
Deliver application solutions usingMicrosoft Azure, including API Management, Key Vault, Storage, App Services and container hosting
Help modernise existing and monolithic applications into more modular, loosely coupled services where appropriate
Design secure applications using appropriate authentication, authorisation and secure coding practices
Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code
Participate in architecture discussions, technical decision-making and code reviews
Mentor developers and promote engineering standards, reusable patterns and knowledge sharing
Work closely with Business Analysts, DevOps and other technology teams
Monitor and optimise applications using logging and application monitoring tools
Investigate complex production issues and implement sustainable solutions
Support application deployments and provide Level 2 and Level 3 application support as required
What We're Looking For




5+ years' software development experience with strong hands-on coding capability
Strong.NET and C#development experience
SolidSQL and relational database designexperience
Practical experience delivering applications withinMicrosoft Azure
Strong understanding ofREST API design and enterprise integration patterns
Experience designing secure, maintainable and scalable software solutions
Experience working with or modernising large or monolithic applications
Experience with contemporary source control andCI/CDpractices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Comfortable mentoring others while remaining an active software developer
