Our client, a respected
local not-for-profit organisation
, is seeking an experienced
Program Worker
to join their Supported Temporary Accommodation team in Lismore for a
4-week temporary assignment
.
This role will provide essential support while a team member is on leave from
27th August
, with the successful candidate ideally commencing
as soon as possible
to allow time for training and handover.
About the Role
Working from the Supported Temporary Accommodation hub, you will be a key point of contact for clients accessing the service. The role combines reception and administration responsibilities with client support and higher-level program duties.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing a welcoming and professional concierge presence at reception
Managing client access, check-ins and general enquiries
Completing day-to-day administration and maintaining accurate records
Responding appropriately to clients presenting with complex needs
Drawing on your case management experience to provide additional support to the program team
Liaising with internal team members and relevant community services
About You




We are looking for someone who can step into the role confidently and make an immediate contribution. You will ideally have:
Previous experience working within
community services, homelessness, housing, mental health, disability or a related human services environment
Demonstrated
case management experience
, particularly supporting people with complex presentations
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds
The ability to remain calm, professional and solutions-focused in a busy client-facing environment
Strong administration, organisation and record-keeping skills
The confidence to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a busy program team
Relevant qualifications and experience appropriate to a
SCHADS Level 4
position

Duration: Approximately 4 weeks, with training/handover prior to 27 August
Start: ASAP - immediate availability is essential
