BM Tekniker is seeking a qualified and motivated Motor Mechanic (General) to join our growing team in Hoppers Crossing, Victoria. We are looking for a dedicated professional with strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills to service and repair a variety of motor vehicles.
Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification.
Relevant work experience as a Motor Mechanic.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to high-quality workmanship and workplace safety.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Detect and diagnose faults in engines and mechanical components.
Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other vehicle components for inspection and repair.
Inspect, test, and assess parts to determine repair or replacement requirements.




Repair and replace worn or defective parts and reassemble mechanical components in accordance with manufacturer specifications and service manuals.
Perform scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrication, engine tune-ups, and other preventative maintenance procedures.
Reassemble engines and vehicle components following repairs.
Test and adjust repaired mechanical parts and systems to ensure proper operation and performance.
Use computerised diagnostic equipment to identify faults and test vehicle systems.
Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with relevant safety and environmental standards.
Conduct vehicle inspections and provide detailed reports outlining work required to achieve roadworthiness.
