Experienced Dental Assistant | Part-Time | Neutral Bay
No regular weekends | Above-award pay | Advanced dentistry | Genuine career progression
Looking for more than just another dental assisting job?
You might love dental assisting but feel like you've reached the ceiling in your current role.
Perhaps you're ready to learn more, be exposed to more complex dentistry, work with different clinicians and be part of a practice where your contribution is genuinely valued.
At Dental Sanctuary Neutral Bay, we're looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis.
We are a beautiful, modern 3-chair practice with five regular dentists, an Oral Health Therapist and visiting specialists. Our clinicians provide everything from general and cosmetic dentistry through to implants, orthodontics, surgical procedures, sedation and facial injectable treatments.
For the right DA, there is a lot to learn here and plenty of room to grow.
Why Dental Sanctuary?
Your career doesn't have to stop at Dental Assistant.
Dental Sanctuary is part of a growing dental group, which means your opportunities aren't limited to the four walls of one practice.
Whether you want to become an exceptional senior DA, develop advanced clinical skills, move towards treatment coordination or management, or eventually explore opportunities elsewhere within our organisation, we want to help you build a pathway to get there.
We invest in our people.
That can include:
Mentoring and structured in-house training
Support for relevant external courses and career development
Individual career progression planning and action plans
Exposure to advanced and varied clinical procedures

Opportunities for progression within the practice and across our wider dental group
We won't promise everyone the same career pathway because not everyone wants the same career.
We'd rather understand where
you
want to go and help you work towards it.
You'll never be stuck doing the same thing every day.
One day you may be assisting with general or cosmetic dentistry. Another could involve implants, surgery, orthodontics or sedation.
You'll work alongside several clinicians rather than being permanently attached to one dentist, giving you exposure to different techniques, procedures and ways of working.
If you're curious and enjoy learning, you'll have plenty of opportunities to develop.
What it's like to work here
We have a united purpose:
our patients come first, and we succeed as a team.
That means helping each other when the day gets busy, celebrating our wins together and picking each other up when we've had a challenging day.
You'll have:
A beautiful, modern practice and equipment
Above-award remuneration based on your experience and qualifications
No regular weekend work
Rotating roster provided a month in advance
Staff and family dental discounts
Regular team meetings and team-building activities
Celebrations of individual and team successes
Support from teams across our wider organisation
A structured management team
Clear expectations,

policies and communication channels
A team that genuinely believes everyone's contribution matters
A little honesty about the role
Dental practices aren't always 9–5 environments.
Our days can be busy and occasionally unpredictable, and some shifts include later finishes. When we're caring for a patient, sometimes the day doesn't finish exactly when the diary says it will.
So if you're looking for a strictly 9–5 role where every day looks exactly the same, we may not be the right fit.
But if you enjoy variety, can stay calm when things get busy and like being part of a team that pulls together, you may really enjoy working with us.
Who we're looking for
You'll ideally have at least 12 months' dental assisting experience and be someone who is:
Highly organised and proactive
Calm and capable under pressure
Positive and solutions-focused
A genuine team player
Comfortable working with different clinicians
Keen to learn and develop
Able to have some fun along the way
Someone who can finish a challenging day, shrug it off and come back tomorrow ready to go again
Qualifications are valued, and your remuneration will reflect your experience and qualifications.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who believes great patient care happens when the whole team works together.
Interested?
We aren't necessarily looking for someone who wants another dental assisting job.
We're looking for someone who wants to find the right practice, become an important part of a great team and see where their dental career can take them.
If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
