The Canteen Supervisor is responsible for the co-ordination, management and operations of the Campus Canteen and be able to deliver an effective and efficient food service to the College Community, including:
Daily responsibility for overall functioning of the Canteen
Food preparation, purchasing of requisites
Training and some supervision of student operators
Ability to work independently and unsupervised
Must have completed the appropriate Safe Food Handling course requirements
The role is part time for 5.5 hours across 5 days from Monday to Friday

Responsibilities
The Canteen Supervisor performs the following roles within the College under the direction of the College Principal.
To ensure the efficient operation of the Campus Canteen, within the constraints and guidelines determined by the Principal.
Organise the day to day operations of the Campus Canteen, including food preparation, service and hygiene compliance to a high standard and in line with guidelines
Maintain menus that reflect cultural inclusivity and health eating guidelines and support student wellbeing and dietary requirements.
Ordering,
receiving and maintaining stock supplies within budgetary constraints.
Ensure all Food Safety, Allergen Management and OH&S; requirements are met and documented
Support College events that require catering or hospitality
Demonstrate commitment to providing support to teachers in the implementation of the curriculum program
Demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills
Demonstrate the capacity to show initiative and work both independently and cooperatively as a member of a team
Exhibit highly developed interpersonal and communicational skills to promote the college and it's values when dealing with all the members of the College community
Demonstrate commitment to the development of the qualities and practice of enterprise education as they relate to the fields of hospitality and food retailing
Manage the ordering, receiving, preparation, maintenance and storage of food, materials and equipment in the Campus Canteen
Oversee the training and assisting of the Canteen's student operators
Provide catering for College functions, staff meetings, etc
Process food invoices each month and supply to Business Manager
Other duties as directed by the College Principal.

These duties could vary from time to time resulting from current legislation, changes to technology or policy and procedure, and in the context of any changes, appropriate training may be given, if required, to undertake the recent/varied role.
