Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organised, knowledgeable
People Operations Generalist
to develop, implement and oversee People Operations administrative functions across Neuron's Australian market,
three days
a week. This is a true generalist role where no two days are the same - managing everything from end-to-end recruitment and seamless onboarding to employee relations, compliance, and Return-to-Work (RTW) coordination. If you are an agile professional who thrives on variety, loves supporting both corporate and frontline teams, and enjoys building a safe, positive workplace culture, we want to hear from you.
Core Responsibilities
Recruitment and Onboarding:
Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews and selection for permanent Australian team members.
Support Operations Associates and Managers with casual recruitment including job descriptions and job postings.
Implement effective onboarding programs to integrate new employees into the organisation smoothly.
Health and Safety:
Act as a Return-To-Work Coordinator for all AU staff, including liaising with insurance case managers, medical providers, internal managers and affected employees to facilitate safe, sustainable return-to-work plans.
Track, document and submit workers' compensation claims accurately and within statutory timelines.
Assist the Legal team with annual insurance policy reviews and collaborate with the Operations Safety Officer to address safety concerns, ensuring strict compliance with WHS legislation.
Employee Relations and Performance Management:
Act as the first point of contact for HR policy guidance, providing practical, compliant advice to employees and managers.
Under the guidance of the Head of Operations and Regional HR Manager, manage employee relations matters fairly, consistently and in line with Australian employment standards.
Support performance management processes.
HR Systems & Compliance:
Maintain data integrity as the primary administrator for our core platforms:
BambooHR
(HRIS),
Tanda
(Time & Attendance), and
TalentLMS
(Learning Management).
Implement, update, and audit HR policies to ensure strict alignment with evolving Australian workplace relations laws, modern awards, and industry best practices.
Facilitate internal training for Operations Managers and Associates to support the implementation of updated HR processes and procedures.
Manage and maintain accurate employee records.
What We're Looking For (Requirements)
3+ years of experience in a HR Generalist position or equivalent.
Prior experience supporting frontline, blue-collar, logistics or shift-based workforce (e.g. warehousing, supply chain, delivery, retail or hospitality) is highly preferred.
Cert IV in Human Resource Management (or higher tertiary qualification).
Skilled in using recruitment tools and platforms for candidate sourcing and selection.
Familiarity with employment law and workplace compliance requirements.
Experience with HR software and systems for managing employee data and HR processes.
Strong organisational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Possess empathetic, highly adaptable communication skills and can build natural rapport with everyone from operations managers to warehouse technicians.
Our Values
Make It Happen
We strive to deliver results with the highest impact and are committed to following through. We continuously optimise through collaboration to achieve the best collective outcomes.
Be Proactive
We seize the initiative and are always looking for continual improvement, for ourselves, our team and the cities we serve. We relish the chance for action even if it leads us outside of our normal scope.
Trust Facts Over Opinions
Our decisions are evidence-based. We assess situations fairly, wherever possible using reason and logic rather than unverified opinions.
Stay Curious
We ask questions, challenge assumptions, learn from mistakes and are ready to leave behind what we thought we knew.
Do More With Less
We understand that both time and resources are finite. We balance our priorities and think strategically about how we can maximise our impact and the return on investment.
If you are passionate about making a real-time impact and want the opportunity to play an instrumental part in our growth story, we want you riding for our team!
