The Safety Advisor provides frontline work health, safety and wellbeing support at our Parratech factory site. Reporting to the National Safety Manager, this site-based role sits within the operational support arm of the Safety & Wellbeing function and is the day-to-day safety point of contact for the site. The Safety Advisor works alongside production teams to identify and control hazards, coach safe behaviours, support incident response and keep safety front of mind on the factory floor. It is a practical, hands-on role focused on keeping people safe while helping the site meet its production goals.
Key Skills:
Sound working knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act **** and WHS Regulation ****
Practical hazard identification and risk assessment skills in a fabrication, manufacturing or construction workplace
Ability to coach, influence and build rapport with contractors, frontline workers and supervisors
Experience supporting incident reporting and investigation
Good written and verbal communication, including delivering toolbox talks and inductions
Sound computer literacy and confidence using WHS systems and Microsoft Office
A proactive, approachable and hands-on style
Ability to work independently on site while contributing to a wider team
Key Responsibilities:
Support the implementation of safety initiatives and programs developed by the Safety Assurance Team
Provide day-to-day WHS advice and support to workers, supervisors and managers at the site
Conduct workplace inspections, hazard identification and risk assessments, and follow up corrective actions
Support the development and review of Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and safe operating procedures
Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety communications
Support incident, injury and near-miss reporting and participate in investigations
Monitor contractor and visitor safety on site
Promote a positive safety and wellbeing culture and encourage contractor and worker participation and consultation
Maintain accurate site safety records and registers
Support emergency preparedness, drills and first-aid arrangements on site
Escalate significant risks and issues to the National Safety Manager – Factory Operations

Qualifications.
Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety – essential
Diploma of WHS – desirable
Demonstrated WHS experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, construction or industrial environment
Incident investigation training (e.g. ICAM) – desirable
