The Regent Medical Group is seeking a
VR General Practitioner
to join our dynamic healthcare team in Preston, VIC ****. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to develop your general practice skills in a supportive and collaborative environment. As a VR General Practitioner, you will work alongside experienced practitioners to provide comprehensive primary healthcare services to our diverse patient population. This role is integral to our commitment to delivering high-quality, accessible medical care to the local community whilst supporting your professional development and progression in general practice.
Key responsibilities
Providing comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients across a range of acute and chronic conditions
Conducting thorough patient consultations, including history taking, clinical examination and diagnosis
Developing and implementing appropriate treatment and management plans in line with clinical guidelines
Prescribing medications and other therapeutic interventions as appropriate
Performing minor procedures as required within general practice settings
Maintaining accurate, timely and detailed medical records for all patient consultations
Collaborating with practice staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
Contributing to the development of practice policies and protocols where appropriate
Engaging in professional development activities and reflective practice
Maintaining compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and professional standards
What we're looking for
Current registration with the Australian Medical Board as a medical practitioner
Completion of or active enrolment in an accredited General Practice Training program (such as RACGP's VR pathway)
Strong clinical knowledge and competence in general practice
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds
Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based medicine and professional development
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Sound clinical decision-making and time management abilities
A compassionate and patient-centered approach to healthcare delivery
Experience in managing both acute presentations and chronic disease management is advantageous
