Intermediate Accountant - Business Services
Alands Accountants is a chartered accounting practice representing a variety of small to medium business clients across a diverse range of industries. Based in Brisbane CBD, Alands' maintains a strong focus on its staff and aims to provide a friendly and supportive work environment. We're looking for an Intermediate Accountant who wants to develop their technical skills, work closely with clients, and build a long-term career in public practice.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, and business activity statements for various entity types.
Build and maintain strong client relationships and responding to clients directly in relation to day-to-day queries.
Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other regulatory bodies as required.
Assist with tax planning and advisory services, to ensure clients receive pro‐active tax solutions and business management.
Assisting with more complex tax matters including, Division 7A, Capital Gains Tax and Fringe Benefits Tax.




Our Ideal Candidate will have:
2+ years' experience within an Australian public practice accounting firm
Commenced or completed CA or CPA qualifications.
Proficiency in Xero Software
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in English is required.
Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality work
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
