Christmas Creek – Fortescue's Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.

8D/6R - FIFO ex Perth
Reporting to the Training Supervisor, we are seeking an experienced Mobile Maintenance Trainer and Assessor to join our team at Christmas Creek.
In this role, you will deliver high-quality training and assessment across mobile maintenance operations, helping our people build the skills and capability to work safely and effectively. You will work closely with operational teams and new starters to deliver practical and classroom-based training while supporting a strong learning and safety culture.
This is an opportunity for an experienced trainer with a mobile maintenance background to make a meaningful contribution to workforce capability across our operations.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver mobile maintenance training and assessment in line with operational and training requirements
Facilitate practical and classroom-based training for employees and new starters
Assess competency and maintain accurate training and assessment records
Support onboarding and site training requirements
Work closely with operational teams to identify and respond to training needs
Maintain training materials and resources to support effective learning outcomes
Provide explicit coaching and feedback to participants
Manage training priorities effectively while working both independently and collaboratively
Demonstrate a strong commitment to Fortescue's Values and safety culture
Qualifications And Experience
Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Demonstrated experience in mobile maintenance and heavy mobile equipment
Strong operational knowledge gained within mining, heavy industry or a similar environment
Current C class drivers licence, with a heavy rigid licence desirable
Relevant high-risk work licences, including but not limited to forklift, EWP, Dogging etc
Strong facilitation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, Success Factors, BI Reporting
Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail
