Speech Pathologists — school-based roles
Non-NDIS | Sydney schools | Flexible options, including school terms only
Ready to enjoy clinical work again? Our client is looking for Speech Pathologists who want meaningful, school-based roles without the constant NDIS admin, billing pressure, business management or after-hours workload that can come with private practice.
"Schools" include preschool, primary, secondary, post secondary, mainstream and schools for special purposes.
Our client is a highly experienced multidisciplinary provider delivering practical, high-impact support in schools across Sydney, predominantly south of the Harbour Bridge. Their model is ideal for clinicians including sole traders and business owners, seeking a calmer, more sustainable way to work — including parents returning to the workforce who want flexibility, support and a role that fits around family life (many of their staff do not work in school holidays – this is a welcomed model of work).
Why clinicians make the move:
This role is designed for clinicians who still love working with children but are ready for less complexity, less red tape and more balance. You'll be part of a warm, stable multidisciplinary team that values clinical quality, realistic workloads, collaboration and genuine support.
You'll have the opportunity to:
Step away from NDIS reporting, plan management, funding uncertainty and private practice pressure.
Work in schools where your input is practical, team-oriented and directly connected to children's learning and participation.
Enjoy family-friendly flexibility,
including the option to work school terms only.
Rebuild confidence and routine in a supportive environment if you're returning to work after having children.
Speech Pathologist roles:
As a school-based Speech Pathologist, you'll support children and young people across preschool, primary, secondary, SSP and post-secondary settings. The work may include assessment, intervention, consultation, classroom strategies, teacher collaboration and family communication, with a focus on functional communication, participation and learning outcomes.
Our client is looking for:
Qualified Speech Pathologists who enjoy working with children and young people.
Clinicians with valid SPA membership, WWCC, and criminal history clearance.
Clinicians who value teamwork, autonomy, practical problem-solving and quality clinical support.
People looking to move away from NDIS-heavy caseloads, private practice pressure or burnout.
Parents returning to work who want a supportive transition, school-friendly hours and a role that respects life outside work.
What's on offer:
Non-NDIS, school-based work with clear purpose and reduced administrative complexity.
Roles across Sydney, predominantly south of the Harbour Bridge.
Support from a highly experienced multidisciplinary team.
Flexible options, including school terms only.
A warm, stable and genuinely supportive environment where clinicians can do meaningful work and still have balance.
Only Australian residents are eligible to apply for the position.
Please Note:
Due to receiving a high volume of applications, only those short-listed will be contacted.
