Our client is a well established manufacturing and packaging business that has recently relocated to a new, purpose built facility in Truganina.
They are now looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead their warehouse operations and drive continuous improvement across processes as the site beds in.
This is a great opportunity for a hands on leader who enjoys building better systems and wants to make their mark in a newly set up facility.
The Role
Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the warehouse, including inventory control, dispatch, receiving, and space utilisation. You will lead a team of warehouse staff, as well as a small team of Admin/Customer Service staff, ensuring safety, productivity, and accuracy are front and centre at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all warehouse operations including inbound and outbound logistics, stock control, and order fulfilment
Lead, coach, and manage a team of warehouse operators, setting clear expectations and KPIs
Oversee a small team of Admin/Customer Service staff, ensuring smooth order processing and customer communication
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and optimise workflows within the new facility
Manage inventory accuracy through regular stocktakes and cycle counts
Ensure compliance with WHS regulations and maintain a strong safety culture
Develop and refine SOPs suited to the new site layout and equipment
Coordinate with production, planning, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth operational flow
Manage warehouse equipment, including forklifts and MHE, ensuring proper maintenance and utilisation
Monitor and report on warehouse KPIs, including productivity, accuracy, and cost control
Support the ongoing optimisation of the new site as processes and layouts continue to evolve
About You
Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar leadership role within a manufacturing, FMCG, or distribution workplace
Experience managing cross functional teams, including admin or customer service staff, is highly regarded
Strong track record of driving process improvement and operational efficiency
Solid understanding of WHS requirements and inventory management systems
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate a team
Forklift licence highly regarded
Experience with WMS or ERP systems advantageous
