Community Engagement and Advancement Manager
Peninsula Grammar is seeking an experienced and relationship-focused Community Engagement and Advancement Manager to join our School community.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Advancement, this senior leadership role is responsible for leading the School's philanthropy and community engagement programs, including major gifts, annual giving, gifts in Wills, alumni engagement, events and archives. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening connections across our community while driving philanthropic support for the School's strategic priorities.
Working collaboratively with the Principal, Foundation Sub-committee, Senior Executive and key stakeholders, the role will develop and implement strategies that foster lifelong engagement among alumni, families, donors and friends of the School. This role is ideal for a strategic and passionate professional who is committed to building meaningful relationships and creating a lasting impact through philanthropy and community engagement. This is a full time position.
The Role
Lead Peninsula Grammar's philanthropy and community engagement strategy
Manage and grow major gifts, annual giving and gifts in Wills programs
Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, alumni, parents, past parents, staff and friends of the School
Lead and support the Community Engagement team across alumni, archives and events
Develop and implement donor stewardship and recognition initiatives
Cultivate, solicit and steward major gift prospects and donors
Monitor fundraising performance and maintain an active donor pipeline
Provide strategic support to the Peninsula Grammar Foundation Sub-committee




Work collaboratively with the Marketing team to deliver impactful philanthropic campaigns and communications
Oversee Advancement systems, reporting, governance and CRM management
Represent the School at community, alumni and industry events and forums
Contribute to the ongoing growth, connection and engagement of the Peninsula Grammar community
About You
You will be a highly organised and relationship-driven professional who demonstrates:
Significant experience in fundraising, philanthropy, advancement, community engagement or relationship management
Demonstrated success in developing and securing major gifts or managing high-value stakeholder relationships
Experience leading annual giving, donor stewardship or philanthropic programs
Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
Experience building trusted relationships with donors, volunteers, community leaders and executive stakeholders
Strong project management and organisational capability, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Experience using CRM systems to drive engagement, reporting and relationship management
Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data and insights to inform decision-making
A collaborative approach and commitment to contributing positively to the School community
Alignment with the values and culture of Peninsula Grammar
Experience within an independent school, university, not-for-profit or membership-based organisation will be highly regarded.
