Role Overview
The Project Planner & Scheduler is a key role in the project management office, responsible for building, managing and maintaining project schedules and plans, including managing performance against the project plan and creating essential reporting for management briefings. This role will coordinate with Project Control Officers, Project Managers, Project Engineers, Program Managers and other key internal and external stakeholders, such as customers, subcontractors, etc.
Description
Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, detailing scope, accurate logic, key milestones, critical paths within all deadlines for all phases of projects you work on. Manage multiple timeline and project priorities. Coordinate and plan resource requirements, including long lead time items to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget. Work closely with Project/Program Managers to ensure that all team members are aligned with the program and that tasks are planned, assigned and completed on time.
Minimum Qualifications
Proven experience in project scheduling and planning
Strong proficiency in scheduling software, such as Microsoft Project, Open Plan Professional, etc
Ability to obtain/maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance - must be an AU Citizen!
Experience with integrating project management tools such as JIRA, Monday, or similar
Ability to work in a Hybrid Capacity in either Homebush or Brisbane Office
Preferred Qualifications
Defence Industry experience
Knowledge in project management methodology
Familiar with reporting tools such as Tableau, Excel or SQL

Security requirements
As the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible to obtain a Defence Security Clearance to work in this role - please be mindful to obtain a clearance, one of the main requirements is you must be an Australian Citizen.
