About Congress:
Central Australian Aboriginal Congress is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service providing comprehensive primary health care to Aboriginal people across Alice Springs and surrounding remote communities.
As part of our Allied Health team, you'll work alongside experienced Podiatrists, Aboriginal Health Practitioners, Allied Health Assistants, GPs, Nurses and other health professionals in a supportive and culturally protected environment.
You'll receive the support you need to transition from university into professional practice, while gaining valuable experience in diabetes, high-risk foot care, community podiatry and remote health.
About the Role:
Based primarily in Mparntwe (Alice Springs), this is an excellent prospect for a Graduate Podiatrist to develop their clinical skills while working across a diverse range of clients and health programs, including Chronic Conditions, CHSP, NDIS and Medicare.
With support from Senior Podiatrists, you will:




Provide person-centred podiatry assessment and treatment
Develop skills in diabetes and high-risk foot management
Gain experience in wound care and offloading
Develop holistic care plans and support client self-management
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Participate in supervision, mentoring and professional development
Build your confidence working with Aboriginal clients and communities
Undertake outreach to remote communities, including travel and overnight stays
About You:
Bachelor of Podiatry or equivalent qualification
Current, or eligible for, AHPRA registration
A genuine interest in community and Aboriginal health
Passionate about developing your clinical skills and knowledge
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Respectful, adaptable and willing to learn
Current driver's licence or ability to obtain
Willingness to travel to remote communities, including by light aircraft
Experience is not essential — we're looking for a motivated Graduate Podiatrist who is eager to learn and grow.
