We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to join the team at Spit Roast Shop in Kirribilli. This is a part time/ full time position offering flexible hours to suit your availability.
Key responsibilities
Preparing and organising ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, chopping and portioning
Assisting chefs with the preparation and cooking of food items, particularly spit roasts and related dishes
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils and work surfaces
Ensuring the kitchen remains organised and well-stocked with necessary supplies and ingredients
Operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills and food preparation machinery
Following food safety and hygiene regulations at all timesSupporting the kitchen team during busy service periods
Disposing of waste materials appropriately and maintaining a clean working environment
Taking direction from chefs and senior kitchen staff and responding promptly to requests
