About the Role




Reporting to the Head of Impact as part of the Sustainability, Impact and Legacy (SIL) Team, the Social Impact Advisor will design, implement, and engage stakeholders in key social impact projects related to the Brisbane **** Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Project Delivery: Support the scoping, design, implementation, reporting and administration of social impact initiatives across key areas including Human Rights, Disability Inclusion, Diversity & Inclusion, First Nations, Sport and Physical Activity Uplift and Education.
Operational Execution & Tracking: Lead and/or support project activities, monitor provider contracts, track progress against plans and perform data capture/analysis to draft reports and drive compliance with social impact outcomes.
Stakeholder Engagement & Governance: Support the planning and delivery of engagement activities, coordinate internal/external workshops, and serve as Chair or Secretariat for relevant Working Groups when required.
Communications & Storytelling: Collaborate with Marketing and Communications teams to create impact-related content and document social impact case studies to engage and activate community and tell the Games' social impact story.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with SIL team members, internal business units,



external partners and advisory panels to ensure shared project goals are achieved.
Culture & Values Advocacy: Champion and model Brisbane ****'s social impact goals, a protected, inclusive, and ethical workplace environment and organisational values.
Skills and Experience
Proven experience in a relevant role within a not-for-profit, business, or government sector designing, delivering, monitoring, and reporting social impact programs in community, business, or sport settings.
Sound understanding of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), theory of change, program design, monitoring and evaluation
Strong strategic thinking with demonstrated ability to gather and synthesise insights and analysis into clear written reports to drive continuous improvement.
Emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage and influence a broad range of stakeholders and facilitate discussions.
High attention to detail, quality of work, and productivity.
Lived experience is highly regarded, particularly alignment with Brisbane ****'s SIL Goals and priority populations (people with disability, First Nations, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and Olympians/Paralympians).
Tertiary qualification in a relevant field is desirable however not essential.
