APG Workforce are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Trades Assistant with painting experience to join a busy maintenance team based in the Innisfail region. This is a hands‐on role supporting painting and building maintenance activities across a variety of sites.
Pay Rate:
$38 – $43 per hour + Super
About the Role:
You will assist with a range of painting and maintenance duties, including surface preparation, painting, and general upkeep of buildings and facilities. The role will involve both indoor and outdoor work and requires a robust focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with surface preparation including sanding, cleaning, and patching
Support painting and finishing tasks across various surfaces
Use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and small plant
Assist with general building maintenance duties
Follow safe work practices and site procedures at all times




Work both independently and as part of a team
Support tradespeople and supervisors as required
About You:
Previous experience in painting, construction, or general labouring
White Card (or willingness to obtain)
Strong work ethic and reliability
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Good communication and teamwork skills
Driver's licence preferred
Desirable:
Experience in painting and decorating
Working at Heights or Asbestos Awareness (advantageous)
