Disability Support Worker
to support a participant in
Bundaberg
.

About the Role

This position supports a participant in Bundaberg as part of a dedicated 24/7 support team. You will provide person-centred support that promotes independence, choice, and participation in everyday life. The role involves building positive relationships, assisting with daily routines, and supporting the participant to achieve their individual goals in a safe and respectful environment.
The successful candidate will be confident in providing support for:
Supporting a participant living with Bihemispheric Posterior Circulation Brainstem CVA and Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
Manual handling and mobility support requirements.




Medication administration in accordance with policies and procedures.
Dysphagia management and safe mealtime support practices.
Diabetes management and monitoring.
Incontinence care and personal support.
Community access, therapy attendance, and support with medical appointments.
Maintaining participant choice, control, dignity, and continuity of care at all times.
Shifts may include:
Afternoon shifts
Passive sleepover shifts
Active awake overnight shifts
Availability across a variety of shift types will be highly regarded.

What You'll Need
To be considered for this role, you will have:
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
Open Queensland Driver Licence
Reliable motor vehicle with comprehensive insurance
Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
A genuine commitment to supporting people with disability
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts across a 24/7 roster
