Full time permanent position (Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week). Onsite and occasional weekend shift.
About the Role
As part of a fast-paced team, you will provide a full range of administrative support to the Radiology Department as required in accordance with the policies, procedures and values of St Vincent's Health. Including reception, patient accounts, bookings, result distribution and audio typing.
Reception duties, answering telephone, email and fax enquiries
Effective patient scheduling enabling maximal utilization of equipment and staff
Accurate data entry of patient and study information
Registration of patient arrival and discharge
Peripheral administration tasks to ensure a productive and efficient workflow
Processing payments and assisting senior team with accounts tasks
Accurate and timely medical audiotyping of dictated reports
Distribution of medical results and access enquiries from referrers
Your Contribution
VCE or equivalent
Previous experience in medical administration (desired)
High degree of computer literacy
Customer service and multi-tasking experience
Knowledge of medical terminology (desired)
Demonstrated abilities in working in a fast-paced environment
Professional telephone and reception skills
Previous experience in invoicing/receipting
A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History check, or willing to obtain
Salary
Classifications for this position will range from HS1 - HS17 ($58,442 - $63,138 per annum).

The Medical Imaging Department (MID) is a busy imaging department providing a wide range of diagnostic and procedural imaging services to inpatients and outpatients of SVHM.
