Area Manager | Brisbane North
Lead a portfolio. Shape a region. Have a real seat at the table.
At Our Patch, we believe the best leaders are close enough to understand the realities of service delivery and empowered enough to influence the future.
We're looking for an experienced and people-focused
Area Manager
to lead a portfolio of Outside School Hours Care services across Brisbane North. This is an opportunity to join a growing organisation with ambitious plans, strong values, and a leadership team that genuinely believes our people are our greatest strength.
This is not a role where you'll be left to carry the weight alone.
You'll be supported by a dedicated
Senior Support Coordinator
, an experienced and highly engaged national support team, and a passionate group of fellow Area Managers who genuinely collaborate, share ideas and celebrate success together.
Most importantly, you'll have a real voice.
We value curiosity, challenge and innovation. If you have an idea that will improve the experience of children, families, schools or employees, you'll be encouraged to bring it forward. You'll be sitting at the table where decisions are made, not hearing about them after the fact
Why Our Patch?
You'll be backed by a strong support structure
We know great Area Managers create the biggest impact when they're supported to focus on leadership.
That's why you'll work alongside a dedicated
Senior Support Coordinator
who helps drive consistency, administration, compliance follow-through and operational execution across your portfolio.
Combined with specialist support across People & Culture, Recruitment, Quality, Finance, Customer Experience and Operations, you'll have the resources you need to focus on what matters most: leading people and building great services.
You'll join an energised leadership team
We're building something special and we're doing it together.
You'll become part of a leadership group that is collaborative,
values-driven and deeply committed to creating exceptional experiences for children and families. Our leaders are visible, approachable and invested in each other's success.
We challenge each other, support each other and celebrate wins together.
Wonder isn't just a value on the wall
One of our core values is
Wonder
.
For us, Wonder means staying curious. It means asking 'what if?' and being brave enough to try something new. It means continuously improving, learning and creating better experiences for children, families and teams.
We want leaders who bring fresh thinking, challenge the status quo and help shape what comes next.
You'll have genuine influence
As an Area Manager, you'll be responsible for leading a portfolio of services, but your impact extends far beyond operational performance.
You'll contribute to strategic discussions, help shape regional priorities, develop emerging leaders and play a key role in delivering our vision for growth and quality.
Your experience, ideas and insights will matter.
About the Role
As Area Manager, you'll:
Lead, coach and develop a portfolio of Service Leaders
Build high-performing, engaged and accountable teams
Drive quality, compliance and child-safe practice across your region
Partner with schools and local communities to strengthen relationships
Support occupancy growth and service sustainability
Champion workforce planning, capability development and retention

Have experience leading multiple sites, teams or operational portfolios
Are passionate about developing leaders and building capability
Balance commercial thinking with a people-first approach
Bring strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
Are confident making decisions and driving accountability
Enjoy working collaboratively and contributing beyond your own portfolio
Are naturally curious and values continuous improvement
Believe every child deserves a safe, engaging and high-quality experience
Why You'll Love It Here

A high-performing and energised leadership team
Opportunity to influence strategy and decision-making
