We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Employment Lawyer, full time or part-time, to join our dynamic team based in Collins Street, Melbourne. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four (4) years post admission experience in employment law and a proven track record of successfully handling a variety of employment-related cases.
About You:
To be successful in the role, you will have:
A Juris Doctor or Bachelor of Laws degree(or equivalent) and admission to practice in Victoria
At least 4 years post-admission experience in employment law/industrial relations, ideally acting for employers
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
A high level of attention to detail and organisational skills to manage competing priorities
A proactive and professional approach with a commitment to ethical standards
Ability to work closely and cooperatively with others, including as a mentor and supervisor to more junior staff
Genuine enthusiasm for challenging and interesting employment law work

Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert legal advice on employment law and industrial relations matters, including workplace disputes, discrimination, and termination




Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court/tribunal proceedings
Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and other legal documents
Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in employment law
Collaborate with clients to develop effective legal strategies
Mentor junior lawyers/paralegals and contribute to the firm's knowledge base
