, youwill be responsible for facilitating the growth and development ofup to 24 primary school-age boys across the curriculum includingMathematics, English, Humanities and InformationTechnology.
Inorder to thrive at Brighton Grammar School, the successfulcandidate will be able to demonstrate:
Relevant experience teaching primary aged students.
Effective classroom management skills to maximise learningopportunities for students.
A strong understanding of the principles of the science oflearning.
Experience in delivering a knowledge-based curriculum thatencourages and supports innovation amongst the students.




Experience using evidence-informed teaching strategiesbased on the work of prominent educational researchersincluding Barak Rosenshine, Doug Lemov, John Hattie and JimKnight.
Use of explicit instruction techniques and frequentformative assessment to check for studentunderstanding.
Knowledge of research findings relevant to student learningand education.
A pursuit of continuous improvement and self-reflection asa teacher.
A commitment to collaborate with colleagues in planning,implementing and reviewing curriculum through the design andediting of shared resources.
The ability to establish and foster relationships withstudents, staff and parents.
A willingness to be actively involved in the cultural,pastoral and co-curricular activities of the School.
VIT registration is essential for this position.
