About us Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation (AHAC)



is a multi-disciplinary organisation which provides primary health care services to the Aboriginal people of Tennant Creek and the surrounding Barkly region, dedicated to 'Closing the Gap' in Aboriginal health within remote Australia.
Anyinginyi consists of five different sections (Health Services, Business Services, Public Health Unit, Sports and Recreation, and Piliyintinji-Ki Stronger Families) which allow them to have a holistic approach to health ensuring that clients' physical and emotional health and wellbeing is given the utmost priority.
Anyinginyi's mission is to be a provider of high quality holistic primary health care services featuring prevention and treatment in the Barkly region in a culturally responsive way.

As a small regional centre, Tennant Creek does not have the facilities one would find in larger country towns like Katherine or Alice Springs however it does provide for all the basics that most people require.

two banks (ANZ ensure all EPC follow up visits are compliant with the referral and that recording and reporting of follow up services meets the criteria for MBS claiming.
Advocate for rights and needs of individuals, families, and communities on health-related issues.
Visit remote communities as required and as negotiated with the Clinical Services Manager or anyone acting in their capacity.
Provide capacity building education and information sessions to communities where required.
About you To be considered for this position, you must obtain an AHPRA Registration to practice as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner (Minimum Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice) and acquire clinical skills and experience needed to work competently in remote areas, with demonstrated experience in multidisciplinary team environment .
Experience working with an Aboriginal organisation or communities will be highly regarded but is not essential, provided you are able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the issues pertaining to Aboriginal Primary Health Care and the social determinants of health in our surrounding communities.
An exceptional communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills needed to tailor your approach to the needs of each individual and build effective relationships with our clients.
Please note: A National Police Clearance and Ochre Card (NT Working with Children's) card obtainment is a requirement prior to commencement in this role.
