Responsibilities Operate Sandvik DL422i and DL432i longhole drill rigs in a safe and efficient manner Utilise advance automation and rig control systems, including iSeries controls on the DL432i Conduct pre-start checks, routine inspections and basic maintenance of drilling equipment Maintain accurate drilling records and production data Collaborate with the underground team to optimise drilling performance and productivity Contribute to our people-first culture and live our Winning Values Help teammates, share knowledge and support a robust crew culture What You'll Bring Minimum 2 years experience in underground drilling with a strong focus on up-hole drilling Solid understanding of longhole stoping methods and production drilling principles Proven ability to read and interpret mine plans, drill designs, layout and stope instructions Sound knowledge of ground support practices and safe stope entry procedures Strong awareness and application of underground mining safety standards and regulations Valid manual (C class) Australian drivers licence (essential) High Risk Work Licence – EWP, Forklift, Dogging (desirable) Cert III in Underground Metalliferous Mining (desirable) Why Macmahon?
