Experienced Bookkeeper – Xero & Trust Accounting
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Bookkeeper to join our growing professional law firm in Sydney.
This is a hands‐on role working closely with the Finance Manager, with responsibility for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the firm's day‐to‐day financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day‐to‐day bookkeeping and accounting transactions
Trust accounting and trust reconciliations
Bank and account reconciliations
Accounts payable and accounts receivable
Supplier invoices, payments and receipts
Monitor and follow up outstanding receivables
Maintain and reconcile transactions in Xero
Payroll assistance
GST and BAS support
Month‐end and year‐end accounting support
Identify and resolve discrepancies
Maintain accurate and confidential financial records
Work closely with the Finance Manager and management
About You
Minimum 5 years' professional bookkeeping experience
Strong hands‐on experience with Xero




Excellent knowledge of bank reconciliations
Strong accounts payable and accounts receivable experience
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Good understanding of GST, BAS and payroll
Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies independently
Strong organisational and time‐management skills
High level of confidentiality and professionalism
Highly desirable:
Experience working in a law firm or professional services environment
Trust accounting and trust reconciliation experience
Experience with legal practice management/accounting systems
