Join our Environmental Health team and play an important role in protecting our community and environment. Reporting to the Principal Environmental Health, you'll investigate littering and illegal dumping offences under the Waste Reduction and Recycling Act ****, while delivering community education, compliance and enforcement activities. Working closely with the Regulatory Services team, you'll help achieve consistent compliance outcomes, promote responsible environmental practices, and build community confidence through timely, professional and customer-focused service.
$75,579 p.a. + super + locality allowance
Fixed Term until June ****
Full Time + Monthly RDO
5 Weeks Annual Leave + 3 Weeks Personal Leave

About the Role
Investigate littering and illegal dumping and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
Deliver timely, accurate and professional investigations, inspections and reports.
Build positive relationships with the community through clear, respectful communication.
Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve practical compliance outcomes.
Use technology and data to improve investigations and service delivery.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to a more efficient and effective service.
Skills & Experience
Demonstrated experience investigating legislative breaches, including evidence gathering, infringement notices, report writing and legal proceedings.
Sound understanding of, or ability to quickly learn,



relevant legislation, regulations and local laws.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including report writing and conflict resolution.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively while demonstrating Council's behavioural competencies.
Current Queensland "C" class driver's licence and ability to undertake field-based work, including climbing ladders where required.
