Mackays Group are seeking a
Contract Coordinator
to support our farming operations through effective contractor engagement and project coordination. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives on autonomy, is confident in decision-making, and has an interest for aligning people and projects to deliver results on time and within budget.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you'll be responsible for managing the entire contractor lifecycle — from sourcing and onboarding to performance monitoring and compliance. You'll liaise with farm management to define project needs and ensure contractors are aligned with operational goals, timelines, and safety standards.
Source, engage, and coordinate contractors for a range of farm projects
Manage contractor agreements, documentation, and compliance
Obtain and assess project quotes to ensure value and efficiency
Define scopes of work with senior management




Lead contractor negotiations and ensure favourable terms
Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to timelines and WHS standards
Maintain a reliable network of contractors and up-to-date knowledge of their capabilities
Act as the primary contact between internal teams and external contractors
About You:
Self-motivated and highly organised
Strong ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
Confident in making sound decisions
Contractor management, compliance, and WHS knowledge
A clear communicator who can build solid working relationships
Experience in agriculture, construction, or rural operations
Familiarity with WHS legislation and rural compliance practices
