About the Role
Payroll Officeris responsible forensuring payroll entries in SAP SuccessFactors are entered accurately, in line with the VPS Enterprise Agreement and departmental policies, ensuring supporting evidence has beenprovidedas necessary.
The Payroll Officer role also advises on payroll conditions and employee entitlements, saves records in the DGS records managementsolutionandassiststhe broader payroll team with payroll production activities to ensure pay timelines are met.
Key Accountabilities
Deliveraccurateandtimelyfortnightly payroll processing, including leave, allowances, deductions, superannuation, tax,timesheetsand terminations,in accordance withlegislation, the VPS Enterprise Agreement and departmental policies.
Maintain the accuracy and integrity of employee information in SAP SuccessFactors and ensure payroll, personnel and work records are complete,accurate,secureand appropriatelyretainedin accordance withlegislative and departmental requirements.
Provideaccurate, well-researched andtimelyadvice to employees and managers on payroll, employmentconditionsand benefits, resolving queries effectively through service management systems such as Salesforce.
Support the Payroll Manager, Service Leads and Payroll Advisers to achieve payroll production timelines and quality outcomes,demonstratingeffective communication, collaboration,flexibilityand problem-solving.
Transactional Processing:
exercisesa high levelof attention to detail when processing employee payroll information changes to ensure employee payments are processed accurately.
Communication:strong communicationskills with both internal and external stakeholders; ability to tailor communications according to the audience and/or audience preference.
Flexibility and adaptability: ability to take on a range of tasks and adjustapproachand priorities tosuit tochanging requirements.
