Chandler Macleod is seeking an experienced
Maintenance Electrician
to join the maintenance team at
our client's manufacturing facility in Somersby
.
This is a day-shift position commencing at approximately
6:00am
, with some flexibility available for the right person.
Initially offered on a casual basis, the role provides a genuine opportunity to transition into permanent employment with our client.
The Role
Working within a busy manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment to minimise downtime and support the safe and efficient operation of the facility.
Your responsibilities will include:
Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on production machinery
Responding to equipment breakdowns and minimising production downtime
Completing scheduled preventative and planned maintenance
Conducting automation and PLC fault finding
Maintaining equipment including conveyors, mixers, cutting lines and autoclaves
Supporting equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
Working closely with production, engineering and other maintenance personnel




Liaising with contractors attending the site
Ensuring all work complies with WHS requirements and site safety procedures
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Electrical trade qualifications and a current NSW Electrical Licence
Previous electrical maintenance experience within an industrial, manufacturing or heavy-industry environment
Strong fault-finding and breakdown maintenance capabilities
Experience with automation systems and PLC fault finding
Preventative and planned maintenance experience
A robust commitment to workplace safety
The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a maintenance team
Reliable transport to Somersby
Desirable:
Forklift Licence
Working at Heights certification
Confined Space certification
