Krish Indian Cuisine in Southport is seeking an experienced and motivated Chef to join our busy kitchen team on a full-time basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality Indian dishes, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation, supporting daily kitchen operations and ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are followed at all times.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a wide range of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, breads and other menu specialties Ensure consistent food quality, taste, presentation and portion control Organise food preparation and manage day-to-day kitchen workflow Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and receiving ingredients Maintain kitchen cleanliness,



hygiene and food safety standards Assist with menu planning and development of new dishes Work closely and lead other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service Help manage food wastage and maintain appropriate storage procedures Control cost and kitchen budget for overall restaurant profitability Requirements: Relevant commercial cookery qualification of at least Cert IV or higher Previous experience working as a Chef, preferably within Indian cuisine for at least 1 year Good knowledge of Indian cooking techniques, spices and food preparation Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen Strong teamwork, communication and organisational skills Willingness to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required Position: Full-Time Location: Southport, QLD Salary: Market-competitive salary based on qualifications and experience If you are passionate about Indian cuisine and looking for a long-term opportunity with a supportive team, we would like to hear from you.
