We are seeking a capable and commercially minded Construction Operations Business Associate to join our growing piling and civil construction business.
This is a diverse role suited to an experienced construction professional who can combine hands-on industry knowledge with strong leadership, commercial awareness and operational judgement.
The successful candidate will play an significant role in supporting day-to-day operations, coordinating site activities, assisting with business performance and identifying practical opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and overall project outcomes.
You will work closely with management, supervisors and site teams to ensure operations are well coordinated, risks are appropriately managed and projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key RequirementsMinimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory or leadership roleProven piling and ground engineering experience, including exposure to:Jet groutingCFA pilingBored pilesAnchorsOther piling and ground retention systemsStrong understanding of civil construction operationsCurrent Excavator Ticket / VOCCurrent Dogman / Dogging TicketCurrent White CardStrong leadership and communication skillsExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesStrong organisational and time-management skillsAbility to work effectively with management, employees, subcontractors, suppliers and clientsCommercially aware with a practical approach to improving operational performanceHigh level of accountability and professionalismKey ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate construction and piling activitiesAssist with planning, scheduling and allocation of labour, plant and resourcesSupport site teams to achieve productivity,
quality and safety targetsMonitor day-to-day operational performance and identify areas for improvementAssist management with operational planning and decision-makingIdentify potential issues early and implement practical solutionsAssist with improving systems, processes and workflow across the businessEnsure projects remain focused on safety, quality, productivity and efficiencyCoordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, clients and internal teamsAssist with maintaining project timelines and operational requirementsOperate plant and undertake dogging duties when requiredPromote a positive, accountable and safety-focused workplace cultureContribute to the continued growth and development of the businessThe Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who understands construction from the ground up but also has the ability to look at the bigger operational picture.
