Job Description We're looking for an experienced Principal Electrical Designer to join our Perth-based team .

How you'll make a difference As a Principal Electrical Designer, you'll play an important role in delivering high-quality electrical and instrumentation design documentation across a range of projects.
You'll work closely with engineers, project managers, designers, site personnel, clients, contractors and suppliers to develop practical, accurate and compliant design solutions.
You'll also have the opportunity to mentor and support other designers, contribute to continuous improvement, and work collaboratively with colleagues across our ANZ offices and Enterprise Centre.
Prepare accurate 2D and 3D engineering drawings, layouts, production drawings and technical sketches using CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks or MicroStation Review drawings for accuracy, completeness and compliance with relevant Australian Standards, project specifications and company drafting standards Work closely with engineers and project teams to resolve technical and drafting issues and ensure project requirements are accurately captured Prepare and contribute to design packages, tender documentation, construction drawings and as-built documentation Deliver high-quality drawing packages within project schedules and agreed budgets.

The qualities that help you thrive Strong experience in electrical and/or instrumentation design and drafting Proven experience within engineering, resources, mining, industrial, infrastructure or a similar environment Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation A sound understanding of Australian Standards, engineering drawing practices and project specifications Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality documentation Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Additional Information At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
