We are seeking a Transfer Station Attendant
to join our Resource Recovery team. In this role, you will undertake general labouring duties, operate heavy plant and machinery, and engage with customers to support the safe and effective delivery of waste services across Council's transfer stations and landfills.
$***** per hour
Casual (approximately 30 hours per week)
PPE Provided
Based in Stoters Hill, Innisfail
About the Role
Support the safe and efficient operation of Council's waste transfer stations and landfill facilities.
Work collaboratively in a multi-skilled team to deliver quality services and assist customers using Council facilities.
Maintain a safe work environment for employees, contractors and the public.
Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers and stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
Current Queensland "C" Class Driver Licence.
General Safety Construction Induction Card or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
Experience and/or a strong interest in working outdoors in a waste facility setting.
Demonstrated customer service and communication skills.
Ability to follow work programs, solve problems and work effectively within a team.
